It was the second run for the intermediate group of the day and I had asked for an instructor to ride-along later on to see if I would qualify for the advanced run group. Deciding I didn't need to hurl my lunch and go all out I lined up behind a buddy borrowing his wife's car for the weekend and arranged a shadowing session where I could run some laps behind him to help sharpen my chasing skill...

clunks like mine going into reverse. I was going to change my u-joints hoping that was part of it, but i think it's just a clunky transmission. If i put firm pressure on the brake it lessens it quite a bit. Hope you didn't make this to sell it. you will regret it.
It looks like this storm
What brakes/tires/suspension were you running? I'll be at FATT on Main for the 6/23 and 8/4 events this year with my (very) lightly prepped Si, so im glad i found your videos! Anything particularly sketch? Were you flat through the chute? I feel like its going to take a long time to work up to carrying your level of speed theough there 🙈, but interested in what youre running 🍻
They used to have annual bay bridge walks on the first weekend of May. I walked it a few times. The bus would take us to the Eastern Shore on the Westbound span, as seen here. We would walk back on the Eastbound span that you see beside this one. Amazingly, it was not as scary walking it was driving it. The Eastbound span is not as scary as the Westbound span. I think it has to do with the railings. On the Eastbound span, it had those tougher barriers and you could not see the water below. Whenever I drove on the Westbound span, I would always stay in the middle lane, as this driver did. One false move, you are through the rail and into the water below! They need higher and more sturdy rails on the Westbound span! I don't think I would have been able to walk across the Westbound span.
No # 1 car in the world!
Beautiful car. Thanks for the video. In my opinion, however, the presentation of this car wasn't enhanced by the camera lens distortion. You can't get a true sense of the car's great proportions.
Black & White, Silver & Red My favorite !!!!!!!!
❤ "They don't make 'em like they used to!" ❤
The wheels are not stock but I think they look great. I live in Florida so if it was mine I would probably add an air cond, and maybe a n aftermarket Bluetooth if there is one that looks OK so as not to suffer with that Stone Age AM radio. Anyway its a fantastic car.
Would change those ugly wheels for original ones
I have crossed that bridge 5 days a week since about 2004, about 6,000 to 7, 000 times give or take. Only thing that bothers me is traffic, scared drivers and the accidents. Weather can be fun at times, driving over it in the dark during a thunderstorm is wild.
Great and fun day. need to get to Shenny more than once a year
Nice driving! You drive the sh*t out of that car. I was in your run group that Friday.
Yeah I saw you, one of the few Porsches that actually took the time to warm up before going all out! I was out playing around with tire pressure that morning and looking for better turn ins on 3 and 10. It was a good day!
@@TandemDawgBMG Haha yeah I didn't want to be that guy who flipped his car on the out lap. I've actually seen that more than once ...
Nice little highline locomotive. Interesting use of Walschearts valve gear on a Reading A5a.
Not too long ago, a woman was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler, which knocked her car into the water. Like a Superhero, she climbed outta her busted window....into the water, & swam about a hundred yards to the rocks... and safety. Props to her. Self-preservation csn make you do some amazing shit.
Thank God she was at the low end of the bridge. She would not have survived the suspension part. 🌉 It pays to know how to swim too.🏊
@@pamelawheeless8090 Then, she went back & pulled her car outta the water, and saved a dolphin which had gotten tangled in old fishing line. She's a baaaaad lady..👍👍
@@dme1016 Yeah! That was a Superwoman for sure! ✊💪🤸🏋 Wow! 😃
I was there that day too but in Novice (Type R). Awesome driving!
i have the same car in holland and i love it
A car of this caliber really should have air conditioned. Get rid of the wheels and fix that noisy exhaust. Otherwise it’s nice.
Stupidest car Video ever, what an Idiot!
It's Identical to my first car ! ,Same shade of red with white top , no vinyl or Landau. MINE WAS A KENTUCKY CAR ! 55 thousand original miles, $500 !.
Fuselage tail lights but whatever ! Awesome color ! Enjoy it son !
nice car i have a 63 too
im gonna drive the 1309 !
when I am 18, I want to get behind the throttle of 1309
I'm not scared of any bridges encluding that one in this video
17 inch wheels?
Those dark gray clouds aren't helping. 🌧
bro i wanna do this so bad sadly i cant with 734
This bridge is barely wide enough to safely handle pedestrian foot traffic and cyclists. Cannot believe there's three lanes of vehicular traffic with oncoming. Extremely outdated and woefully unsafe design.
What’s unsafe about it? It’s literally an everyday bridge.
@@eikh1682 Everything about it - nowhere to avoid oncoming traffic/loss of control, nowhere for breakdown/utility vehicles and it also doesn't incorporate any safety features for those with a fear of heights. An embarrassment of design in this day and age, which speaks to it's antiquated design and the failed municipality which promotes it.
@@patkaczmarek7362 1. Can’t forget about 2 lanes expressways, But if it’s on a bridge it’s *baddd* 2. oh no no shoulders because shoulders are needed to save lives 🥺 3. Like any other bridge, what safety features do you need?
i've never been across that bridge i think. when we left maryland the wm preston memorial bridge was still in use but the new bridge was under contruction still.
I wouldn't enjoy having to cross that bridge everyday.
i love these high and long birdges ill drive on them endlessly its so amazing to see the steel structure and the water surrounding the bridge what a beautifull sight best seen in a cab over semi when you are sitting 5 ft above the rd now thats spectacular
Absolutely not!
How long is this bridge ? How long do it take to cross to the other side and where would you be ( place ) ?
The bridge is 4.35 miles long.
Aj
Tornado coming?
I'm confused. Why, at 1:05, did he turn if the ligths were red? Is it allowed? (i' not from the US)
Yes
@@missqbird thank youu ☺️
In the USA, 🇺🇸 drivers are allowed to make a right turn on red unless otherwise noted. I think it also depends on the state. I live in Maryland, but was visiting my cousin in Brooklyn, NY. At 2 AM, my friend made a right turn on a quiet street after stopping at a red light. Then immediately! 🚨🚓👮 My friend did not understand why we were stopped. I said, "Oh! I guess they don't allow right turns on red here!" The Officer let us go without a ticket.
rotted door jams not good
Not feeling the Cragar rims, other than that the value on that old Tbird just keeps climbing.
Busy bridge looking like clouds
Them wheels don't fit but what the hell its your car
I hate when they customized the wheels. Just keep it 100% STOCK!
Wow that is amazing and awesome
Do you still have it? Did it ever make a long loud whining noise when it didn't start on the first try?
Sold the car a few years ago, however the only "whining" I remember was the starter motor losing all of it's momentum and coming to a stop after disengaging from the flex-plate after and aborted start before I would try again, but I don't know that I would have called that a "whine."
Do you still have it?
ua-cam.com/video/sqU3d5EOqEY/v-deo.html this is what I meant...
How scary
Yea I hate when they do 2 way traffic on bridge
And in tunnel
@@Piper-Down-EZ thankfully I only experienced that once, that tunnel gives me anxiety on a good day! 😣
I pln to do this one day
Mines got 350000 sumn miles on it luv dis car engines are tough and gt great power
You always seemed afraid to release the brake. You kicked it off only half way every time
I have that car in baby blue
